Domain Name Locking

This feature is available in our system for .com .net .org .biz and .info domain names. Domain locking helps to prevent unauthorized changes to your domain should someone inadvertently gain access to your login information. When a domain name is locked, any transfer out attempts will be immediately rejected, and nameserver changes as an attempt to point the domain to another website can not be made. The lock status may not be changed with simple access via login, you must contact us to arrange locking, and subsequently, you must contact us to remove the lock should you need to make a nameserver change or should you wish to transfer the domain elsewhere. There is no charge to lock or unlock a domain name. The lock is an additional safety net that re-introduces human intervention and manual verification into what is generally an automated process.
